Our mission is to enrich the community's cultural landscape by providing a platform and employment for local artists, safe spaces for learning about the arts and promoting mental health through the transformative power of theatre. We will strive to foster inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring everyone can experience and engage with the arts and create a welcoming environment where local talent can flourish and the community can connect with the arts in enriching and impactful ways.
We're passionate about transforming new writing into vibrant live performances. We'll produce small-scale theatre productions designed to tour local venues throughout the Stratford-upon-Avon area, as well as theatres and community halls nationwide. This initiative will not only showcase emerging talent but also provide crucial employment and support for local creatives.
Leveraging our existing networks, we're dedicated to establishing a dynamic rural touring scheme. By collaborating closely with local venues and village halls, we'll bring high-quality theatre and music directly to the surrounding Stratford area. This ensures that even those unable to travel can experience the magic of live performance right in their own communities.
Beyond our productions, we're committed to actively promoting Stratford-upon-Avon's talented creatives who are taking their skills on national tours. Our goal is to raise awareness and celebrate their achievements within their local community, connecting their wider success back to their roots.
Stratford Theatre Company is dedicated to deepening our roots within the local community. We'll be forging dynamic new partnerships with venues and artistic groups, while also strengthening our existing connections right here in the Stratford-upon-Avon area.

Stratford Theatre Company operates as the trading name for Stratford Playhouse Community Theatre, a dedicated not-for-profit organisation championing grassroots arts in the Stratford-upon-Avon area. Our journey truly began during the application process to run the vacant arts centre on Rother Street. Although our bid was ultimately unsuccessful, the passion and momentum we generated solidified our resolve. We're now more committed than ever to continuing the vital work we began, bringing vibrant arts experiences to our community and promoting and supporting local talent.
